But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides. Matthew 6:33, Amplified Bible. (emphasis added)
The Kingdom of God is God’s system of operation or how He does business. And every kingdom has a protocol. A protocol is system of rules that explain the correct conduct and procedures to be followed in formal situations.
The Kingdom of God is voice-activated. Many times to get a response from the Kingdom of God we must say something. God set this protocol in place at the beginning of time. It works for every person on the planet whether they know it or not. Much like gravity, it’s working whether you understand it or not.
Everything God created came from words; let’s look at God set this up.
I can count 12 specific times God spoke something specific, 12 times He saw what He had spoken, and 12 times that the Bible recorded as being good. God gave us a pattern of HOW HE DID THINGS. This would simply be just good information to know if we didn’t examine the following passage:
26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” Genesis 1:26-28 (NKJV)
We are made in the image and likeness of God. Can you see what God is like in Genesis chapter 1? God speaks His desired outcome. We are made is His image to speak His desired outcome as well. Jesus explained the power have when we speak when He said this:
36 But I tell you, on the day of judgment men will have to give account for every idle (inoperative, nonworking) word they speak. Matthew 12:36 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC) (emphasis added)
Our words are very important and we will be held accountable for them. Because the Bible says, “Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it;” …Genesis 1:28 (NKJV) We were blessed (empowered to prosper) by being given the ability to possess what I call “command speech” When we examine all of the creation. Only one type of being was given this ability; you and me.
Let’s learn to speak the will of God on a continual basis so we can say like our Father, “and it was good”.
