The Law of Magnification

View Point

Have you ever exaggerated a problem and later realized that you made a big deal out of nothing? Or have you ever received bad news, didn’t get all the facts, and overreacted?

A few years ago the following scriptures changed how I dealt with the trials of life:

Oh, magnify the Lord with me, And let us exalt His name together. Psalm 34:2-3 New King James Version (NKJV)

Have you ever looked at an object through a microscope or a magnifying glass? Whatever you were viewing did not change. However how you saw it changed. All of a sudden you were able to clearly see what was always there.

God is the biggest, strongest, wisest person in the universe!! God cannot get any bigger than He already is. However your mind has the ability to magnify and minimize people, problems and potential.

Everyday our minds are being filled with bad news, hopeless situations, and general negativity. When one of those situations confronts us personally, we may not even consider God as having a possible solution. When you begin to praise God, He becomes bigger in your mind. The more and more you speak of His greatness, the smaller your challenge becomes. Then the reality of your problem sets in…that Your Heavenly Father always was and will be bigger than anything you will ever face.

Never allow how you feel at the moment to overwhelm you to point that you don’t praise God. Even when you pray about the situation, make sure you praise God.

The apostle Paul gave us some practical principles regarding prayer.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;  and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 New King James Version (NKJV)

  1. STOP Worrying!! Worrying has never helped anyone get the victory over any situation.
  2. Pray about everything. If it’s a thing, you can pray about it.
  3. ADD Thanksgiving. It’s not prayer without thanksgiving. When you are not thanking God you are not acknowledge Him or His WORD to get the job done.
  4. Receive the Peace of God. By faith, SEE God doing whatever it takes to bring you to your expected end (see Jer. 29:11) The peace of God goes beyond your natural reasoning and logic. The problem can still be actively plaguing your circumstances, but now you can breathe easy – God’s WORD has been given the final say on the matter. The situation has to change because God’s WORD never fails.

You are not denying the existence of a real problem. You are actually limiting the effects of the problem. If you stay in faith, you will overcome your problem.

Every day you can magnify God and gain victory over your problems. You do not need a special moment or be in a church service. Lift your hands now and praise God!!

  1. And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, LORD, so that he may see.” Then the LORD opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. (2 Kings 6:17 NIV) Seeing what’s REALLY there is extremely important to having the confidence we need to walk out the plans the Lord has for us. To understand that truth is reality and that His Word is the truth makes, literally, all the difference in the world. Seeing the reality of the Father by default causes us to see evil, contrary, and deceptive things as small and powerless. Great post!

  2. This is challenge to everyone going through something now, enter His court with praise and Thanksgiving. Great post, God will continue to increase you sir.

  3. Amen thank you. My Daddy God created the universe, now how could any problem we see be bigger then that, nothing is too hard for my Daddy. How we see things determines our direction I see God directing my path, and I say direct on have your way Lord
