My question remains: Can you SEE what God is saying?
As we discussed earlier, God’s desire is to reveal His plans, power, purposes, and desires by speaking to you. When God speaks, He is imprinting an image on your heart. If you can see it, God can bring it to pass.
Jeremiah was called at an early age by God to begin fulfilling His destiny, but HIS image got in the way. I believe the single greatest threat to fulfilling the will of God is how we see ourselves.
“O Lord God,” I said, “I can’t do that! I’m far too young! I’m only a youth!” Jeremiah 1:6 Living Bible (TLB)
Did God forget how old Jeremiah was? Did God catch Jeremiah at a bad time? Certainly not.
We factor in things that God never considered. Your height, weight, skin color, age, education, finances, nor family heritage will ever qualify you for God’s plan for your life. We can all identify with Jeremiah in this regard; “I knew you before you were formed within your mother’s womb; before you were born I sanctified you and appointed you…” Jeremiah 1:5 Living Bible (TLB). God knows what He wants to do in you and through you before you ever made a mistake or did anything right.
Every plan He initiates, He orchestrates. If He plans it, He provides for it. God looked at all of your strengths, weaknesses, success and shortcomings and choose you anyway. He knows that with Him, nothing is impossible.
Never waste another moment disqualifying yourself from the plan of God; God’s not listening anyway. Let’s look and see how God responded to Jeremiah:
7 “Don’t say that,” he replied, “for you will go wherever I send you and speak whatever I tell you to. 8 And don’t be afraid of the people, for I, the Lord, will be with you and see you through.” Jeremiah 1:7-8 Living Bible (TLB)
The opinion of others is also a great hindrance to SEEING what God is saying. The contradictions of family, friends, and even enemies are designed to sabotage God’s plan for your life. Each negative comment and joke is designed erase the plan of God from the canvas of your heart.
When God speaks to you about starting something, He’s standing at the finish line. He has His power, provision and people lined up to get the job done. Your willingness, diligence, and obedience are all that is required to fulfill the will of God.
I leave you this scripture for meditation and confession:
Ephesians 3:20-21 New Living Translation (NLT)
20 Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. 21 Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.
I pray your world has been Enlightened by the Word of God today. God Bless.
