God speaks. God has all the plans and purposes of your life in His heart and mind. When He speaks, His words release images… Just like when a comedian tells a joke or when you give someone directions to the mall. Words produce images. So my question to you today is this: Can you SEE what God is saying?
God’s Word spoken to you paints a picture on the canvas on your heart. He’s painting a portrait of victory, restoration, a change of seasons, or revelation of His plan for your life.
Can you see it? It’s not too big, it’s not too hard, and it’s definitely not impossible. When Mary, the mother of Jesus, was informed of God’s plan for her life she was completely overwhelmed and knew immediately that was naturally impossible. The angel dispatched to her gave her an explanation, an example, and a truth; God is doing something supernatural, He’s working in the life of someone else, and lastly “For with God nothing will be impossible” (Luke 1:37, NKJV)
God wants to do what is seemingly impossible in your life.
- God is doing this THROUGH you
- God is using others too
- God takes your limitations and calls them possibilities
What has God shown you recently? Have you been trying to figure out how in the world you are going to do it? That is part of the problem: You are trying to figure out the part that ONLY God can do. God needs you to do three things; see it, believe it, and do what He asks.
Contrary to the age-old mantra “I’ll believe it when I see it” that’s not really how faith works. God first requires us to see what He said or get a picture of it in your heart. Once that happens now you have the ability to believe what God said to you is possible. After you become completely convinced of what God said, you are finally ready to act on His Word to you.
God commissioned a young prophet named Jeremiah and asked him, “…Jeremiah, what do you see?” And I said, And I said, “I see a branch of an almond tree.” Then the Lord said to me, “You have seen well, for I am ready to perform My word.” Jeremiah 1:11-12 New King James Version (NKJV)
Until Jeremiah could see what God was showing him, God could not act. Make a decision not to hold God up another day. Make a decision to eliminate all of the distractions of life (failures, missed opportunities, the success of others, etc.) and discover the vision God has planned for you.
I leave you this scripture for meditation and confession:
Jeremiah 29:11 New Living Translation (NLT)
For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
I pray your world has been Enlightened by the Word of God today. God Bless.
